Taiyaki NYC in New York City, New York

In a little tiny shop between Chinatown and Soho, this little concoction claims to be an instagrammable dessert. Indeed. I opted for a swirl of matcha green tea and black sesame soft serve ice cream accompanies by rainbow mochi and a chocolate wafer. The cone itself is the unique part. Taiyaki is a Japanese dessert of pancake like batter poured into a fish shaped mold. The smell is intoxicating. If you're looking for a sweet treat in this summer heat, head on down to Taiyaki NYC. Your taste buds will thank you!

Tips
Green tea and black sesame are two very opposing flavors that are quite popular in Asia. I'd suggest sticking to one in this case. Unless you're indecisive like me and have to try both. There is a unicorn one that is absolutely adorable. Unfortunately I don't love strawberry ice cream.
