The Painted Ladies in San Francisco, California

The Painted Ladies in San Francisco’s Alamo Park neighborhood are a collection of colorful Victorian and Edwardian style houses in the Alamo Square neighborhood, known for their vibrant pastel painted facades. The name was given to them in the 1960s and stuck ever since. They’re also referred to as The Seven Sisters or Postcard Row. The exteriors are brilliantly well kept so one can only imagine the beauty inside.

I know them best from the intro reel from Full House, the comedy show with Bob Saget and the Olsen twins. And while younger me wasn’t as sophisticated to yearn to see them in person, I have to say that real life doesn’t disappoint.
