Templo Romano in Córdoba, Spain

The Romans have indeed been everywhere. This particular set of ruins was discovered in the 1950s when City Hall was under expansion. It’s perhaps not the only ruins in existence, but the excavation unearthed a relatively intact structure. The construction began during 41 AD and what is left today are foundations, stairs, an altar, and some columns. Some fragments were moved to the Archaeological and Ethnological Museum of Córdoba for preservation. It’s a neat thing to stumble upon and glance at.
